Esta pausa para comer debe producirse a m\u00e1s tardar al final de la quinta hora de trabajo. Si un empleado trabaja m\u00e1s de diez horas, tiene derecho a una segunda pausa para comer de 30 minutos, que debe tomarse al menos dos horas despu\u00e9s de la primera pausa para comer. Para los turnos que superen las diez horas, los empleados tienen derecho a una tercera pausa de 10 minutos. Los descansos deben programarse cerca del punto medio del per\u00edodo de trabajo siempre que sea posible. <\/li><li class=\"PlaygroundEditorTheme__listItem\" value=\"2\"><b><strong class=\"PlaygroundEditorTheme__textBold\">Pausas remuneradas<\/strong><\/b>: A diferencia de las pausas para comer, las pausas de descanso son remuneradas. Los empleadores no pueden presionar a los empleados para que se salten los descansos o \u00abtrabajen durante\u00bb ellos, ni siquiera indirectamente. Los tribunales han dictaminado sistem\u00e1ticamente que incluso las interrupciones menores, como exigir a un empleado que permanezca de guardia durante una pausa para comer, violan la ley. Las sanciones pueden acumularse, por lo que si se pierden tanto una pausa para comer como una pausa de descanso, el empleador debe dos horas de salario premium por d\u00eda.   <\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Si
